Report – Easter Monday Charity Cycle & Run Raises €1500.

Well what a day we had yet again with our Easter Monday Charity event. The weather was great apart from a wee easterly breeeeeeeze (well it is only April!!) and we had 175 people turn up to register for the walk, run, duathlon & cycle. This was a record turnout for this event which is going from strength to strength. A total of €1500 was raised which will go towards the two nominated charities this year, St. Shanaghan’s House, Ardara and our hosts for the day, The Glenties Day Care Centre. A big thank you goes to all who supported the event from all over the county and beyond, especially our neighbours in Donegal Bay CC, Finn Wheelers and Strabane/Lifford CC who turned up in great numbers. It was great to see the big number of youths who took on the challenge of the 5K and the cycle, well done all. Thank you also to Seanie Mc Devitt for looking after the 5k and duathlon, our ever dependable marshals along the run and cycle route, our drivers Pope and Michael and to those who provided and served up the fantastic and tasty food and refreshments before and after the event. Finally a big thank you to all our club members for turning out in the colours and helping with another successful day for Tir Chonaill GAP CC. Well done everybody.
